Tackling conflict and its consequences is critical if we are to come close to addressing the global humanitarian crisis and achieving the ambition of Agenda 2030; a world free of poverty, hunger and injustice. Concern Worldwide’s 50th Anniversary Conference, ‘Resurgence of Humanity: Breaking the Cycle of Conflict, Hunger and Human Suffering’, will bring together key policymakers and practitioners to identify what needs to happen to mitigate current levels of human suffering in conflict situations, and to explore long-term conflict prevention and resolution strategies. The conference will also highlight the lived experience of people surviving and rebuilding their lives in the midst of some of the world’s most deadly – and often neglected – crises.
